We play games for a variety of reasons – they entertain us, they are a social activity, they teach us, they cure boredom.

Some games are simple.  Some are complex.  Some are expensive.  Some are free.

What makes for a good game is a combination of things.  A game that’s challenging yet fun or a game that’s inexpensive and can be shared with friends.

Some games lose our interest quickly.  When was the last time any of us played Tic-Tac-Toe?  As “Joshua” from WarGames taught us, “The only winning move is not to play.”

The Wall Street Journal recently suggested that tips for success in financial matters, careers and life can be found in the game of Monopoly.  Fact or fiction?  You decide.  Oh…and while you’re at it stay out of jail because you can’t pass GO or collect $200!
